@Kachina624Lots of big money going into real estate right now, Just before I left Florida in mid-May, the local paper reported that on Palm Beach, the number of sales increased 62% comparing March of 2017 to March this year. You can take it to the bank that a huge percntage of the buyers will not be in residence full time, but I don't have those stats in my head.

@millieshops. Just because one has the means to buy an expensive property, doesn't mean they don't have an appreciation of nature. This property is on Orca Island where, I'm sure, it abounds.

This is true of Oprah - she's a huge nature lover, especially trees.

Oprah could probably buy the United States! lol I can't stand the woman. Any way, she probably wants out of California after the forest fires near her home. Although this one looks like the area has a lot of trees too. I guess she gave up on Chicago and her condo in the Ritz Carlton building off Michigan Avenue.

The house is stunning.

My neighbors daughter just moved back from that area and she said she just couldn't get use to all the rain and cloudy days.

She will probably have it managed to be available for retreats for wealthy groups. I hope she doesn't break it up into parcels for more multi-million dollar homes. There are already a glut of those.
