I did try calling them but CS was closed but did send an email so we will see what they say. I am sure they will say sorry but is worth a try. I'll let you know how I come out.

What are you planning on doing with the lantern? Hopefully will receive mine today; so excited to see it.

You are right about mallemo, she does have a way of helping us spend our money. I think she needs to get a commission on the things she sells here{#emotions_dlg.biggrin} Really loved it when she 1st posted and should have gone ahead and ordered then but kept telling myself I didn't need it, had enough lanterns but every time I looked at the picture of it I just knew I had to have it so I kept checking several times a day to see if it came back in like the black and white bunnies and when I saw it, I jumped on it, needing it or not.


I did call customer service this morning instead of waiting for an answer to my email, patience is not one of my better traits.{#emotions_dlg.rolleyes} I talked to the nicest lady and she said that started yesterday at 5 pm but she did say that as soon as I receive my lantern and they get notice that it has been delivered, they will credit the 20% to my paypal account. Couldn't ask for more. That almost pays my S&H. Was very happy she did that since I had ordered earlier in the day.

I see they are sold out again.

Have no idea what I will be doing with it yet wl. I know for sure a will put a couple of Valeries glitter candles in it. I think the ideas are endless but now if I just have the ability to put it together so it looks good and not like a bunch of things thrown in there. We will see.

Glad I can help everyone spend their money...tee hee! Mine won't be here until tomorrow so I'm excited to see what you all think that ordered it if you get yours today. So glad you took the plunge JPC! Overall I think it was a great price and 20% off is even better. If anyone ordered the mercury glass owls those will look great in there too. It has endless possibilities!

I too am anxious for the lanterns to start arriving at the homes so we can hear all about them. I'll bet you are getting excited too to get yours. I just hope they come in one piece since they are sold out again. Will be hard to get a replacement. Guess you can call me "Debbie Downer"

Hope everyone who ordered a lantern gives us an update when they receive it.

Well, I just got a disappointing phone call from Kirklands. Said they were getting ready to ship my lantern and that it was damaged so they cancelled my order and will my charge will be dropping off in a few days. Bummer. I asked how bad it was damaged and she said all the glass was broken. She said all they had left were damaged. I asked about maybe getting it at discount and I could replace the glass and she said they were all damaged beyond repair and they were disposed of.

Hope you all get your lanterns in good shape. I will keep checking to see if any pop back in by she said they didn't expect anymore of them. And if it does, I am sure I will have to pay full price for it. {#emotions_dlg.sad} Now I need to wipe the tears off my keyboard.

Oh no, JPC, that is so disappointing. I assume you checked for store availability already? The nearest store to me with one in stock is over 2 hours away. I'm really sorry to hear that they don't have one to ship you.

Hi SHOPR,

I have checked store availability and no such luck. The closest store to me is over an hour away.

I suppose I wouldn't be lucky enough for the stores to ship out would I?? If they would I would order the one from the store closest to you. When I was tripping one time, I found some things I needed several of and they didn't have all I needed so they did send them on to me at home but I am sure they came from the warehouse.

I don't know if Kirkland's will allow shipments from their stores. I haven't shopped with them all that often and just don't have any idea. Maybe someone else will know.

If you can email with the phone # or location of the store, I will give them a call to see if they do. It sure is worth a try.
