I was surprised to see this design from this designer.

May be an image of indoor

Maybe if I had a live-in OCD housekeeper.

Re: Open Shelving in a Bath

[ Edited ]

Actually I have that in my master bathroom. It came with my townhouse when we bought it .My sink is in a little alcove. There's a big mirrored medicine cabinet above the sink. To the left, on the side wall, there is open shelving. I keep Qtips & cotton balls there & some cologne. I like it but I do have to clean it every other day. Therefore, I don't put to many things there.

I couldn't reach them and I don't want to climb in the tub to get my things.

I like the art on the wall, but I'm not sure about those shelves.  I doubt I could easily reach the items without standing in the tub.

Which would be weird.

Just curious- do you have to stand in your bathtub to get to them?

@lolakimono  Absolutely not! It's not over the bathtub. It's  located on a wall in an alcove with  the bathroom sink, next to the medicine cabinet. No where near the bathtub!

I am not a very practical person but the shelves make no sense to me.  Unreachable (unless you use a grabber) Doesn't appear they are completely reachable even standing in the tub.  Getting into the tub would be a challenge for many people.  Epic fail IMHO.

Unsanitary having open shelving in a bathroom, especially if the toilet is not in a toilet closet.  Otherwise, very pretty staged photo shoot of a tub but too impractical for ordinary life with all the tchotchkes.  The artwork on the wall is nice but impractical above a tub.
