I live in a very dusty place.  I'd have to wash dishes before and after a meal.  Not practical or sanitary.

I just think it looks sloppy.  And all the extra wire from the hanging lights just adds to the cluttered appearance.

My OCD won't permit me to have open shelving. Too much dust, and I'll be inclined to wash everything daily.
