Usually when I find pictures to discuss, there is only one view. This has two, and I find myself thinking that it almost feels like two different spaces.

I totally agree with you. Looks like 2 disparate design styles in one space.
The heavy stone fireplace and rustic beams seem to contrast the clear acrylic chairs and white cabinets. Maybe that’s what they wanted, but the elements don't seem to fit and flow as one space to me.

With that fireplace, I'd force myself to have a huge wooden dining table in front of it. I think that's so romantic to have a fire lit while you're eating. Many restaurants up north have that and it's so cozy/toasty.
I'd forego the island altogether and would probably have picked wood stained or at least cream colored cabinetry

@lolakimono This is so like ‘kitchens’ / family rooms I have had or been in Cornwall in U.K. almost deja vu!
Lots of us buying old dilapidated cottages unearthed - behind plaster walls - big beautiful original old granite fireplaces and just had to keep them hence it may look odd in your pics - as the kitchen shown appears very modern whereas ours were more ‘rustic’ - but it brought back so many memories.
The two pics do look like they could be two different rooms but I think if you stood in the room it would gel better? Not keen on the style of the bar stools, do like the cabinets.

For such a huge kitchen, that has remarkably little storage space.

The fireplace across from the stove looks out of place, redundant and ridiculously. Two heat sources facing off. Looks like a duel

It definitely does look like two separate spaces. I personally would rather have that fireplace in my family room......The kitchen also needs more storage!

Some one who does not cook must have had the dream of a fireplace in every room.

For me the only thing that looks out of place are the acrylic bar stools.

This is an appealing look and I do like it especially the fireplace.
