Here are a couple that have the moody vibe but manage not to be spooky.  (It's a bit of a slippery slope in a bedroom.)

This one is a bit brighter, but keeps the moody feel with the black ceiling:

I like both.

Re: On to moody bedrooms....

You are just cracking me up lately!   (LOL)

Okay I could do the dark ceiling with the light walls.  There, I said it Smiley Happy

I love the second choice as well, though I really don't mind the first one.

I think this is beautiful, but I would definitely lighten it up a bit with accessories and definitely a different picture above the bed......

NOT for me.   All those decorative pillows are a real PIA!

Both rooms are attractive, reading 'handsome' to me rather than 'pretty'. Neither would be my choice. To me, there's a vague 'hotel-ish' quality to rooms of their ilk.

@faeriemoon

Yes! I like them both as well. They are both very elegant. I especially love it when people are bold enough to paint the ceiling a different color, especially a rich dark one like that.....

Thanks for the moody lovlies!

Love, love, love!

I would change the art above the bed in both photos though.  They're both practically perfect Smiley Happy

Nope, especially to the first one.  I guess I just don't like the "doom and gloom from the tomb" look anywhere in my home.

Re: On to moody bedrooms....

The bedrooms are fine, but I dislike that dark color of green in the first pic.

I don't like that color on walls anywhere.  It looks like dirty grungy swamp water.
