Is anyone on the fence tonight with regards to picking up some last minute Christmas in July items?  Since the sale runs out tonight, and the Easy Pay is being offered, am I the only one teetering about a few different items?

I am.  I've been waffling on the Christmas house and trees from Temptations.  I've never purchased anything from that brand, but the house is adorable.  On the other hand, I already have all of those Harry Slatkin luminiaries and I only have one area where I use whimsical decor so I don't really need those.

Peter, did you see the silver and gold version of the trees?  They are short, but the shape is modernist.  H205963

Thanks @Marsha2003.  Those trees are very pretty, but the gold is a deal killer. I try to keep everything silver, but not gold. It's the same with jewelry.  My aunt keeps telling me she wants to buy me a gold watch, and I keep telling her that I won't wear gold.  I just don't think it looks good on me OR my home.

Makes perfect sense to me!  I'm just the opposite as I tend to use warm metals in my home decor.

You know, @Marsha2003, I get so jealous sometimes, because there are so many more products geared toward gold and earth tones.  I really do love warm colors and tones, but they just don't work for me.  It's not that I've pigeon-holed myself by choosing a specific color scheme. I just think it suits my taste better.

Funny, I always think there are more options in cool metal tones...at least during the last few years.  I do think the pendulum is swinging back towards warm metals, though.

I have a white pair of skates from years ago andI never wore but saved and thought I would.  Might use them for decorating.

I picked up several pair of used skates at an auction, and have used them with my childhood sled and a wreath on the front porch. This year, I may fill a set with some greens and pine cones for on the antique school desk that sits out there as well.

For anyone with access to thrift store, you can make your own fairly inexpensively.

I have placed several things on check hold and will decide tomorrow or over the next couple of days what to do for sure. Not worried about loosing the easy pay.

I was on the fence too last night. I had written down item numbers for a few things I was wavering about thinking if last night's deals were exceptional, I would take the plunge but I only ended up getting one more item....candle impressions 5 piece set of poinsettia flameless candles.  They got good reviews and I have a few hurricanes/domes that need something.  I got the ivory color thinking I could use them all the time. The poinsettia design looks very "light" with some scroll work around the flowers.  I have had very good luck with battery life in the candle impressions items and this one touts 1,000 hrs of glow time with a timer.    To be honest, other than the easy pay, most of the CIJ items I looked at again this morning are not much more expensive anyway should anyone decide they still NEED something.  I assume the return policy has reverted to the 30 days tho so that's the only drawback.  Hope everyone had as much fun as I did in July.  Now we can all shift towards Fall.  Thanks everyone for a fun CIJ.

I have enjoyed reading all of your comments during CIJ. They have been veryhelpful in helping me decide whether of not to buy certain items.  I always love CIJ but you all made it more fun for me this year! Thanks for posting information and opinions about Christmas items.

I ended up getting another set of the snowy helock pics - glad I did as they went up over 6.00 i believe. Plus I got the 2 vintage kids on snowballs, didn't need it, but wanted them.  Those also went up a bit so glad I grabbed them as well. I really had a good time checking these threads too this month and can't wait for the fall stuff now!!
