Ok.....what am I doing wrong???

I bought a Rowenta a couple of months ago.....I've used it 3 times and I hate it. What I hate is the fact that no matter how long I wait for the water to get hot, if I put it on the steam setting, it spits like crazy......definitely the worst purchase I've made in a while. I've had cheap irons that didn't start the spit routine until it had a few years on it. Now it's too late for me to send mine back, but I'll never buy another one.....just my experience.
