Re: Oh I am so through with Dyson

I really like the cordless Hoover Linx but I noticed the other day that Walmart has another Hoover cordless that comes with two batteries that should last 25 minutes each and charge in 3 hours. I was thinking of trying it to compare with the Linx and then I can return the one that does not work as well.

Check out battery life.. more than 1 hour total for 2 !!!

Has anyone tried this Cordless Air 3.0 ?

You've just given up???? Call their help line! They are fantastic at problem solving over the phone! I have several Dysons for both my house here and for my cottage! LOVE them! Would keep house without one!

Agree. their customer service is outstanding!

I was so excited to be finally able to afford a Dyson animal and I hate it. It is clumsy, doesn't clean well, and is a bear to store. I got the hand held Shark and I love it. I have used it to clean rugs that the Dyson failed to clean. It is small, but mighty.

Brigitta--how disappointing re: your Dyson experience. I would have been extremely disappointed and upset. Thanks, though, for your input re: the Shark hand held--I have been contemplating getting one!

If you are speaking of the op..I will clearly say that the problems are nothing that customer service can effect, as it is a design function i.e., poor design.

I love my Dyson, but I agree that they don't always get good reviews. We just purchased some new wood flooring for our kitchen and dining room and the flooring store discouraged us from using the Dyson on the new flooring. She said many carpet companies won't honor their warranty if you use a Dyson on their carpets. Too bad because I love mine.

Why would that be? I have used a Dyson since they came out and my hardwood floor and carpet look great! I have never had any problems. My hardwood isn't scratched and my carpets are cleaner than when I use my old Oreck.

From what the owner of the flooring store said, the Dyson's powerful suction is hard on carpet nap. On bare floors, Dyson is OK, she said, as long as you use their tool for bare floors with the little soft brush on the bottom. This was the first I ever heard of any of this. I love my Dyson and plan to continue using it.

I have two Dysons. The animal and most recently the cordless. I love them both!
