Absolutely no deer decorations of any kind in my house.

You can really find some unique & interesting fashion photos. I just love viewing your postings. In my head I'm wondering where does she find this stuff?
Is your "real/offline" life in the fashion/designer world?
@Mz iMac@ @lolakimono Lola has been on a tear this week. It's a good thing because everyone else's ideas for discussion get zapped because they "might" be argumentative.

I have plenty of deer outside my house. I don't need any to be permanent decor items.

Certainly unique! I am a sukkah for pretty much anything animal, also (except maybe simians), so I think some of them are pretty. If somebody gave me any one of these as a gift I would be happy. ![]()

I am sure your BF is supportive. I suggest he cook you a nice dinner while you open a good bottle of wine!
Wishing you peace at this sad time.
Thanks for the kind thoughts.

On Sunday I spent about two hours installing/reinstalling the software to get my copier/scanner/printer to speak wirelessly again to my computer so that I could scan in photos of my aunt and me and send them for the photo collage/video at the service. Then I had about 3 hours of papers/quizzes to grade, so I put BF in charge of dinner.
What was really funny (as in NOT FUNNY) was that on Sunday night he was pre-heating the oven for salmon and we heard a pop and saw flames above the heating element.
When it rains, it pours.
As a D-I-Y minded girl, I got the serial number and ordered a new heating element that night from some company online that I had never used before. They said "fast shipping", and of course the shipping was like 1/3 of what the part cost.
I never got a shipping confirmation, but on Tuesday when I got home from school, the package had arrived.
I went to spin class, came home ridiculously hot/sweaty, and decided to get to work on the five minutes it SHOULD have taken to change out the screws and pop the element back in.
Long story short, I was covered in oven gunk, trying to insert half of my body into the oven at weird angles for like an hour trying to get the screws to dislodge. I finally got them out, pulled the old element out, and the wire disappeared back into the land of cotton behind the stove. BF and I took turns in front of/behind the oven with flashlights, screwdrivers, drinking straws and tweezers trying to get the %&#@ wire to pop back out. It was like playing "Operation."
By the time I finally fixed it, we were both exhausted, it was after 8, and so he cooked eggs on the stovetop and I microwaved my dinner.
I did discover the burnt out oven bulb from who knows when (it is the only appliance that I didn't replace when I bought my house), so I pulled it out to get a replacement and compare the sizes.
About 30 minutes after all of this, I heard a pop, and Mr. Handsome had hopped on the island and knocked the burnt out bulb off and onto the tile floor.
I had a big glass of wine and then went to bed.
Last night we did get the oven up and running for dinner.
Maybe all those diversions helped you to stay focused on the task at hand rather than think sad thoughts and hopefully the wine helped with a good night's sleep!

@magicmoodz Congratulations on being assertive enough to try and fix the stove. I hate helpless females who won't even try.

It was @lolakimono who fixed her stove. I plead ignorance. I scored 11 percentile in mechanical ability and can barely figure out how to use a paper clip.

@magicmoodz@ @lolakimono You are so correct. Some of these posts get very involved with people adding to them. I have 0 mechanical ability too but I try to fix things. I have a wonderful assortment of tools, bought myself and inherited. With my tools and YouTube, I often succeed.
