I like #2 better. I think it's more inviting and cozy but I do tend to perfer moody and dark over light and bright (althouugh I do like that too, it depends).
The first picture does have cute accessories but too many and it's distracting to me. I don't like a lot of knick nacks and I'm not crazy about the artwork or the shelf/open bookcase he used there. I'm with you I do think painting it a pale blue and putting the Billy bookcase in the pastel room would look a lot better. Also adding floor to ceiling drapes to the window in number 1 would give some much needed warmth and color. I think most windows look better with drapes flanking them, here even if you just used very sheer white or pale pink ones it would add warmth.

I prefer the second look although I have to admit I do not care for the furnishings or decor with the exception of the art work. The only stand out for me is the stunning rug, love it!!!!!

I don't like the first one at all. The second one is much better, but would paint the walls a little lighter and change the tables, chair and lamp.

@Oznell You always have such wonderful posts. I love looking at them.
#2 for sure, for me!!!

@Oznell I like the second look better. I love bold color on walls.
I do like the rug in #1. I would even use it in the second look too. IMO I think it would look good.
Thanks for the post.![]()

Not crazy about either of them.
White is too white and blue is just not attractive to me. Blue isn't one of my colors.

I like the colors in the lst version but none of the furniture. Would like a little color in the walls not quite so bright white. I love the rug in version #1, I can see it in what I call my "reading room".
Version #2 is too depressing colorwise. It would give me the "blues".

I definitely prefer the second one. I like the colors, furnishings, and overall design better. The furniture is more substantial and sophisticated IMO.
I'm not a fan of pink so the first one doesn't appeal to me. The ladder and tables look inexpensive, and the overall vibe is too girly and unsophisticated for me. JMO

Like the second one but the couch looks a little messy for my taste.

I like the first one better since it's lighter and feels more airy but they're both very nice. Thanks for sharing!
