I love that rooster! I will get it eventually, right now all my extra bucks are tied up with my son's upcoming wedding in November. LOL
I saw a rooster today at Kirklands. It was sitting on the top shelf, hunched over and peering down at me when I looked up. If I wanted a rooster, I would have bought this one. But, got the garland only which is why I went to the store.
Here it is online. Three colors, I think.

@Nomore, Weird, I took several looks at that very rooster (all 3 colors) online the other day. I didn't order it, but it was taunting and tempting me. LOL

This is somewhat off-topic, but the VPH ceramic rooster is nice and it is available. The LR beaded wreath/spray is available, and I have been very pleased. It, too, was sold out until a few days after it was presented, then it was back in stock. Fearing that it would be a sell-out, I jumped, ordered lots, then returned quickly the boxes I couldn't use. I did not know that these would be so large and full, FYI

I can't figure out how to reply to a previous post and quote it, so I am replying to the one above, and I copied it, sorry. There is a huge difference between inadequate stock of new iphones and VPH home decor items. The time lag for tech items in factories is substantial; whereas to make those types of home decor items QVC brings us as VPH and are at Kirklands and other places is almost non existant. I firmly believe they stock very few items to increase demand so that in the next show there will be continued sellouts.
It must be very frustrating to try to complete a decorating theme when a major component is missing. Many people are not on Fb, or don't look ahead to see what is coming up.
@cotto22, Apple has been making products for a long time, and they are very experienced in marketing and forecasting supply and demand. Having worked in marketing for years, I can tell you that the reason Apple is not meeting the demands of their customers is not because of a lag time in manufacturing in China. If Apple wants more iphones, China would manufacture more iphones faster than a speeding ticket. They are intentionally witholding supply, because it creates a buzz about the products and makes customers hungry for more. In marketing, it's called the "nightclub principle." Having a long line outside is always desirable. It makes people think there's a hot party going on inside.
Also, if Apple sells 20 million iphones on its release date one year and 15 million on the release date a year later, it looks bad for the financial profile of the company. It's better to release the same prudent number, regardless of demand, every year, then incrementally increase the supply in order to keep the company's financial profile looking consistent.
These are the factors involved in the lag time for new Apple products, not manufacturing issues.
Similar to Apple, Valerie has a very strong relationship with her manufacturers in China. After 23 years on QVC, I have no doubt she knows exactly what she is doing, and she's doing a darn good job at it, too. She is the hottest nightclub in town, and that's why her products fly away faster than a toupee in a hurricane!

I bought Valerie's rooster, and he is wonderful. I bought a set many years ago of multi colored hen and rooster, and they are beautiful.
Several years ago, I found many beautiful roosters and hens at Home Goods, and one day, there was a huge rooster from Italy, selling on ebay for hundreds and hundreds of dollars, I paid $100+, can't remember exactly, for my new kitchen, and that was a steal.

I totally agree with the OP, it happens all the time, and is very frustrating.
@PamfromCT wrote:This happens many times with various products. So often with some Susan Graver items. I can't quite grasp why. To me, it represents a loss of sales and also is very frustrating to viewers. I don't bother going on wait lists any more. It has never worked out for me and only adds to frustration.
PamfromCT,
I've found that the plus sizes of Susan Graver, and almost all the manufacturer's that I like, sell out immediately, and never come back. I don't understand why they don't bring in enough merchandise, they'd make a lot more money.
There are certain styles that when presented, I can predict they will sell out in minutes. If I know what's going to sell out, in which sizes, certainly they know it too. But they never have enough to go around.
If you're not watching when they're presented, and jumping on the phone to order immediately, you can forget about getting one.

@PeterDM Very well stated! I think your right about QVC wanting to create a SHOPPING FRENZY by airing items with limited quantities that sell out quickly......
Why who would've thought it pairing Valerie with a nightclub....LOL
I do like Valerie, and her decorating style, and her items, BUT there is a concern about the quality of her items which seems to be hit or miss these days, so I've been very picky about what I've purchase from her collection lately.....so if she has a strong relationship with her manufacturers she needs to tell them to get their act together......

@RedHeadedWench and @SHOPR ...
OK ladies, I just caved I tell you...CAVED! I just got that WOW statement rooster (H204770) for our kitchen. I will display it starting next year after the holiday decorations come down.
I had put it on my wishlist after SHOPR had mentioned it in this thread, then just recently started to worry about the rooster selling out before I got one. It seems that most times over this past year or so, when something sells out, there is a pretty high chance it won't be restocked.
I had spent quite awhile looking online at LOTS of roosters and costs and Valerie's is excellent price/value and after reading all the reviews,
Additionally I watched the short video presentation (why oh why such a short presentation on such a fabulous piece)...
SOLD! ........Happy Dance, Happy Dance! LOL

@mousiegirl Which rooster? H204770 or H201237?
And I'm confused...you paid $100+ for your new kitchen? *scratches head* LOL
