Rant on:
What the heck are Q and Valerie thinking, when a minute and a half into a presentation, most of a product is selling out? This stuff in being presented in 100 million homes (according to Q's bragging) and they 'brought in 3800 total". Really!!??
This stuff is mass manufactured in China, and can be had by the hundreds of thousands, yet that is what you buy for your customers?
Many items were so popular in past years, yet when they bring it back, they don't bring enough to last even one presentation. And this goes on year after year.
Then the host laughs and thinks it's funny. Nothing funny about it. People wait for the presentations to get a good look at the item, and many people who shop Q still don't use computers, so don't even know about the product till it airs.
Then, we get the same candles or belly full of glitter angels by the tens of thousands, presentation after presentation after presentation. How about a little balance please?
I didn't even want to buy anything today, but got so ticked off just watching the cavalier attitude about it all, that I had to stop and make a complaint.
No, not the biggest problem in the world, but certainly frustrating, thoughtless to their customer base, and poor business practice.
Rant off.

You did very well on that rant. I will award you a grade of A-. You would have earned an A+ if you would have brought donuts.

You're right - there's an endless supply of lava lamp glitter angels.

I've had this happen before and been disappointed. It's frustrating.

I would like to know which item this is about. Yes, sudden sell outs before an item is presented frustrates me too. Valerie shows some things on Facebook early, and if they are in the system of course they are then limited when first presented.

I think it's some sort of marketing tactic. Apple does the same thing. They introduce a new iPhone, and they only have about 10 per store, and they sell out online at midnight. People get angry, but they still end up buying one when it becomes available. I assume there is some interesting psychological purpose behind there actions.

I think you are right, Peter. Everything they do on presentations is well thought out and scripted.
I believe that every step they take is tied to marketing tactics/
