I use coffee filters!  Just spread them out, perfect fit.

I've done this for years too.

I'm not about having things that I have to pay for, that function for only one thing. I'd never purchase a chip clip, when a clothespin works just as well, or can place opened chips in a lock and lock I already have for other uses.

Space is a premium, and kitchen gadgets are so money and space consuming. I'm looking for things to be multi purpose or already free and in the home.

I use paper towel sheets, too.

What a great idea for coffee filters! Thanks! I have plenty left from a long-thrown-away broken Mr. Coffee. Filters were delegated to the garden stuff for pots, and between stacked plates, and I am still figuring out more uses.

The coffee filters are great for cleaning glass and mirrors too.  No lint left behind.
