I absolutely despise using a top sheet on my bed.  I do have a mattress protector on my mattress and then a bottom sheet and then a lightweight blanket.  That's all I need and what makes me happy.  Having a top sheet is an extra layer I don't need or want.  But my blanket is a must and I want to feel it next to my skin.

When we were kids we were lucky to have sheets on the bed, as an adult I want my bed fully outfitted.LOL

I like sheets on my beds, and I change them every week as well, sometimes more in the Summer Months.....I like a top sheet and a fitted sheet and a light Comforter, or Quilt in the Winter. I am a Hot person, so I usually only have the top sheet on me at night, whereas my husband likes the sheet and the comforter-we don't use a Blankets on our beds.....I like really nice, soft sheets as well, and don't mind spending a little more to get Quality ones.....

I can't imagine not having any sheets on your bed, even if you only own one set, use them, and take them off to wash and put them right back on...Going without a top sheet would be weird to me, but not as strange as no sheets.....LOL!

Re: No Sheets on Bed?!

[ Edited ]

Yeah! My son is of that generation and when he comes home, he removes the top sheet I put on his bed-  And yeah, it’s odd-

To me, the goal of the top sheet is so you don’t have to wash the bulky blanket as much...

I wouldn’t go with it if he lived here, but he’s home so rarely, doesn’t really matter.  I’m not going to the mat over it!

I don't have a problem with no sheets on a bed as long as there is a washable mattress protector and a blanket. That's really all I need to sleep, but I prefer a fitted sheet...no top sheet for me. Never used one.

I have a bottom sheet that covers my mattress.  Then I don't use a top sheet.

But I use a comfy comforter.

A friend thats a guy uses no sheets on his bed.  To me this is just gross!

I read once that millenials dont use a top sheet.

How do you all feel about no sheets at all, just a blanket. And about no top sheet.

Not using a top sheet isn't a millenial thing, it's a Scandinavian thing some millenials have adopted. In quite a few places in Europe, you'll find people who use two duvets instead of a top sheet, which means that if you have two people in the bed, you don't have to right over the top cover.

You can read more about it here: https://www.apartmenttherapy.com/scandinavian-style-two-duvets-on-one-bed-168149

I've known a few men who didn't use sheets OR had a sheet that was sort of on the mattress, but not really. Gross. They were all under 30 and single and none of them thought it was a big deal when I pointed it out and told them they were going to be single forever if they didn't use sheets.

Sheets for me. There is nothing like the luxury of beautiful sheets.

My son doesn’t like a top sheet....millennial too.I think he has never liked the top sheet though as I always found it on the floor in the morning.
