I am in need of advice for buying a new sewing machine.
I bought my second Brother machine about a year ago. It is great when sewing on a flat project...2-3 even 4 layers...but when I am sewing over an area that is folded over into a hemmed edge of 4 layers of just regular cotton it does have enough power to do it without struggling...sometimes even stopping.
I am very disappointed with it.
I would like a machine that has atleast 25 stitch choices(30-50 would be nice), button hole capability, automatic tension control, drop in bobbin and that can hem a pair of blue jeans with ease...then I know it can do anything I need it to do. I would also like to not pay more then $250. Am I hoping for too much?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
deanna
