I own a speed queen agitator dial machine. Only has 3 wash type loads.
heavy
ECO-
presoak
handwash.
my husband upgraded me today to a TR7 Speed Queen washer. It is top loader, agitator style machine. I do not like front loaders (have had them in the past—just don’t like them). It has an electronic board (push botton) style settings
Does anyone own one of these new TR7 washers???
Just read on line a consumer reports article and my goodness, speed queen went from #1 to Dead LAST in washers being bought .
Sure hope this is won’t be a huge dud washer at the price DH paid for my new washer. Washer won’t be delivered till the 15th.
thanks for input.

Google "Speed Queen 2018 Washer Reviews" and you will find a lot of information. I bought a Speed Queen last year because my washing machine died. I would not buy the new ones.

The 2018 model has awful reviews because the wash system is completely different..the agitator & spin basket are bolted together now so it doesn't move the clothes around drawing them towards the bottom & back up so med to heavy loads don't get cleaned properly. You can see video comparisons between the 2017 & 2018 SQ washers on YouTube...lorainfurniture is a good source. The locking lid is an awful change too but had to be included to meet Fed regulations. Fingers crossed you're pleased with the new model, some buyers are...Good Luck.

@viva923 I would definitely follow up with a phone call if you want to make sure it's cancelled.

Have you considered looking for a used SQ that is only a few years old?
You never know when people's circumstances change. I know here in the DC area people relocate all the time.

I already own a speed queen washeer. it is from 2015
it has many problems, rinse cycle is awful. i am having a hard time getting he soap out of clothes. I am using low suds HE detergent. My delicates cycle is only a HANDWASH CYCLE. no agitation but 2x's for 15 seconds each time. I use double rinse cycle . The rinse cycle on my machine lasts less than 30 seconds. 2nd rinse cycle is less than 1 minute and yet I can't get soap out of the clothes. sometimes it is worse than others.
that video on utube really turned my husband and I off to all speed queens unless they change the rinse cycles timing and quality of clothes washing.

I have a switch on my SQ in the middle that adds an extra rinse.

Good decision to cancel IMO. Like Kitcat posted, the 2018 model is totally different to the ones before them. I don't like the wash action at all in them now. Glad I got the older model before they stopped making them.
