I'm about to furnish a condo at the beach that my husband just finished remodeling. We are planning to rent it on a weekly basis during the weeks that we won't be there. I really need something durable as I'm not expecting that people will care for the furniture as if it was their own. We were looking at some bonded leather sofas, but I read a post about a light colored bonded leather sofa that gave me pause about purchasing this kind of material.

I googled and discovered that although the salesperson said it was leather, it is really leather FIBERS bonded together with something and that should be used only on things that are infrequently used. Sort of like, particle board vs. real wood. Wow, that is definitely not what I need.

Does anyone have experience with the bonded leather furniture and how well it holds up? I'm thinking I should look at microfiber now.

I would appreciate any suggestions or advice on what to buy or what not to buy.
