Re: Need advice on area rugs

I order from Pottery Barn and Grandin Road for my area rugs.

I think you really have to see rugs in person and in your room to decide which are the best. Do you have an oriental rug outlet, HomeGoods, or a Capel's where you are? It costs a fortune to order rugs and have to send them back.

I swear by my Royal Palace. I have 6 or 7. Mine don't shed at all, except a little when I vaccum. Just yesterday I had to clean up a spill on mine under my table. No problem.

I am using the Custom Rugs for the last two years for my home's living room.. I bought it from the Nourison Hospitality.. All the type of the best quality rugs were available there.. I would recommend you too about the Nourison Hospitality .. I would say it's the best place for all the types of carpets or rugs..

Re: Need advice on area rugs

I got rugs on Overstock but I ended up with the best area rug from here on QVC. It was a lunchtime special. If you hang around those, some nice rugs come up. I got a Royal Palace medallion 5x8" and it was less than 200 (normally more.) It was perfect--wool, too. Couldn't be happier. Yes they shed--has to do with how rugs are made. After tufting, the pile is cut with shears to make it plush and even and this results in a lot of fuzz that has to be vacuumed out over a few times.

Royal Palace for me, I have 2 8 x 11 rugs, 3 runners and 3 oval area rugs, most are 9-10 years old and still look like new.
