I never heard of Speed Queen until I read about it here on the forum. Had a machine with no agitator, the clothes were never clean. It lasted four years before it broke beyond repair (repair cost more than the machine). I bought a Speed Queen washer and dryer over the phone, unseen based on what I read here. It is now a joy to do laundry, there is no turning back......the best.

i never hurd of speed queen either. after hearing about it on here i looked them up and they seem really good. and there warrenty is much better than most.

My next washer will be a SPEED QUEEN....top-load. I'd rather pay more now, & have a product that lasts & works well (& made in USA!)

I currently have a Maytag front-load....what a piece of junk. I despise it! There isn't a single thing I like about it. I should have had it picked up & replaced, because it was a lemon from almost day one.

Replaced my washer and dryer this last year with a Speed Queen washer and dryer. Bought specifically because of the agitator, large size washer and full fill. I LOVE them. Quiet, versatile settings and great warrantee. Purchased from local family owned appliance store with their own service. very very happy!

Many thanks to all of you who took the time and efforr to respond to my question. After looking at many washers, I found a guy who fixed my old one. I am SOOO happy!!! Guess I'll have to go through this in a few more years when it really does bite the dust. Thanks again, everyone!
