Re: Need Help Neighbor Kids Vandalism

Pre-teen girl was seen smashing the landscape lighting in my neighborhood. Police were called so many times that the child was sent to live with her other parent.

Re: Need Help Neighbor Kids Vandalism

Install a few cameras covering different angles. The footage will be recorded and saved to a DVR that the kids can't get to. The DVR will be inside your home. My husband installed our system in an afternoon. It's pretty simple to do. If they decide to damage your cameras, then one camera can record them damaging a different camera while the footage is saved to a DVR. It also comes in handy if you get an unexpected knock at the door or if dogs bark at something late at night....just check your camera monitors and make sure your property is secure from the safety of the inside of your house. We have ours connected to our iPhones and iPads and have a couple monitors in the house. I can safely check my outside property from inside whenever I choose. It helps with peace of mind, too. I sure hope those jerks get caught and punished.

Sometimes you just have to take back what that devil has taken from you.

God did not say we had to be passive and allow the evil to consume us. After all he got angry.. IM TRYING HARD TO GLORIFY MY WAY OF HANDLING IT-LOL

Do you have a window that overlooks your driveway? You could put a small camera there. If you need to put it outside, get one that records to your computer or to the cloud. If they break it, it's recorded--it will just be more evidence.

IN SUGAR LAND TX A FRIEND LIVES IN A GATED COMMUNITY -The kids have figured out a way to enter and take tires all 4 and other car parts in less than 2 min. and get back out.

I just like my normal street, it is calm and I will fight to keep it calm.

Thank you all for your input. I'm feeling a little better. It just never stops. Guess I'll have to get some cameras. I was really considering moving.

I think this is excellent advice, as is MaggieOla's. Unfortunately, sometimes we have to invest in technology to protect ourselves. And it's understandable that the authorities need solid proof in order to do their job.

Re: Need Help Neighbor Kids Vandalism

You should not have to move or give up more than you have already. That would only be more unfair to you. Sam's has entire monitoring systems....and a good selection, too at very reasonable prices. Im sure other places sell bundles that make it simple to install. Of course you shouldn't have to invest in anything....if people would just obey the law and act like humans instead of like wild animals who know no better. But I see using cameras almost like locking my doors. I shouldn't have to, but it's added security. I know the police haven't been much help to you, but a deputy here told me that even putting up those signs that say your house is protected by a security system can deter a lot of criminals. I know some places also sell those "Smile...you are on camera" signs.

I agree. No one should have to move due to this . I agree that it is sad that kids have become so out of control. I never realized that so many life in fear of such. It is a disgrace at how our youth have become . I still say we have so many good kids and they should be praised. As for reasoning to why the bad ones are bad i honestly do not know who to blame. I use to blame parents but i have seen to many parents do their best and it just is not good enough in these cases. DID TIMES CHANGE THIS MUCH ? DO THEY STEEL TO PAY FOR THEIR SOCIAL MEDIA, DRUGS OR THEY JUST BAD AND WILL ALWAYS BE BAD ? I HOPE NOT.
