Re: NORTH GEORGIA HOUSE WELCOMES CHRISTMAS

@Oznell   Again, so beautiful to me.  Sometimes I think I need to redesign/decorate my own home when I see such well put together photos you post.

This one, especially draws me in. Cat Happy

I appreciate the subtlety of a neutral palette.

Endless options.

@Oznell

Gorgeous, I love the neutrals and especially took note of the cream colored bows on the staircase garland (took my breathe away)....so pretty. I know it's just the opposite of @Kachina624 who wanted red (which would also look pretty), but I guess I just really appreciate the unexpectedness of the ivory and I'm a huge neutral lover....

I also love the grandfather clock like @DSD2  and the simple stained nutcrackers on the dining table! I loved those nutcrackers so much that I bought 4 from Michaels this morning (they were on sale buy 1 get 3 FREE) I'm posting a new separate posting about this next. I'm so thrilled!

@Oznell Navajo white was a color way back when.  Can't remember the brand, but mother made me paint the den in that color during summers about every other year.  She worked and it kept me busy--along with laundry, feeding animals and cooking!

Navajo White rang a bell for me, too.  I'm trying to remember where we used it...

@Oznell  I think this might be my dream home!

Love the ivory and red bows throughout.

The decorations are lovely. I adore the mantle clock (one of the nicest I've ever seen) and so glad they placed it on the mantle (3rd picture) rather than leaving it on a shelf (4th picture).

The furniture, especially the chairs and pillows are the perfect accessories as is the tabletop Christmas tree.

The bedroom is elegant yet cozy and inviting. Love the picture on the bedside table.

The white kitchen is perfect.

This made my day, thank you!

I probably agree with everything you posted! Woman LOL

The clock caught my eye...

Were you painting clear Lucite, @Sooner ??  That seems unusual-- can you remember any more about it?

Didn't like it.  Looks cold and uninviting.  Too much cream/white.  Would be afraid to live in that house.

@Oznell It was just interior paint.  Wall paint and was a soft beige, maybe a little pink type beige?  Pretty neutral however and very light.

Fount this:  Lucite interior and exterior architectural paint was originally a DuPont product. I remember it was heavily advertised as a DIY product in the '60s and '70s

Love the red velvet pillow.  The basket holding the seasonal wrapping paper rolls is a clever easy way to decorate (sixth photo).  Can even change the paper out for different seasons, holidays, and occasions (such as birthday, anniversary, Hanukkah, Easter, Fourth of July, Thanksgiving, . . . ).

I like the blue and green combination in the kitchen:

There is a front door area that might go with this kitchen from another website (Centsationalstyle), as it is decorated with blue and green (can find photos at Centsationalstyle Blue Christmas Porch).  There is a delightful kitty in a couple of the photos.  And kitty coincidentally has green eyes and blue collar.
