Re: NEUTRAL LOOKS THAT STILL HAVE INTEREST

My favorite rooms are B, H, and K. I do like some neutral rooms, and in fact, many of the rooms in my home are neutral -- dining room, family room, kitchen, and foyer. I did a quick review of the rooms and images @Oznell provided, just for fun. Thanks, Oznell!

A - rating of 5 - Would be a 9 except for the gray mantle. I cannot stand cool gray tones paired with warm, brown shades.

B -  rating of 9 - Love it. Just hope the countertops are not gray.

C - rating of 7 - Has potential, but the boring white chairs and off-white walls ruin the room for me.

D - rating of 8 - Don't love the objects, but like the mood.

E - rating of 2 - Looks too blended and low contrast.

F - rating of 7 - Has some nice contgrasts of dark and light.

G - rating of 1 - Do not like the gray ornaments paired with brown wood.

H - rating of 8 - Pleasant to look at.

I - rating of 7 - Has potential, but I dislike the beige chair with plaid pillow and the white sofa.

J - rating of 4 - Too industrial/modern in design for my liking.

K - rating of 9 - Fascinating with the art.

L - rating of 3 - Don't like white cabinets or black and white striped chair cushions or pillows or that one painting in the kitchen.

M - rating of 6 - That table seems to need one more interesting item on it.

Re: NEUTRAL LOOKS THAT STILL HAVE INTEREST

@Jersey Born ,  I love that you did those ratings, and have quite a few points of agreement with you.  You are sensitive to the need for visual contrast, which I so appreciate.   Am catching up and just noticed your post on a neutral room-- will be fun to discuss!
