I do not dry my sheets.  I put them damp on the bed, smooth them and let them dry on the bed.  I have a ceiling fan which I turn on and they are dry in less than half hour, smooth, crisp and wrinkle free,

I also avoid drying them! After sometime, I realized that was going to be my balance of the fabric I like and without wrinkles.

Like @skatting44 , I've been known to iron my sheets (doing so while slightly damp expedites the task).  The only downfall to it, it feels heavenly. So much, that it makes me want them ironed regularly!

@qvc chick   You need to buy sheets that have some polyester in them.  All cotton will always wrinkle unless it's specially treated I pesume.

Re: NEED RECOMMENDATION FOR WRINKLE FREE SHEETS!

Before Christmas I bought a set of Martha Stewart flannel sheets from Macy's, to replace badly pilled Northern Nights fleece sheets.

BEST sheets I have had in many years!  They are warm but not thick, no wrinkles, soft and so far...no pilling!

Can anyone recommond WRINKLE FREE sheets??

I am tired of washing sheets, taking them right out of dryer, and they are still a wrinkled mess on the bed.  When you see ads for sheets, they are so perfect, not one wrinkle.

Northern nights sells them, but there are very few King sizes available.

I don't care where I buy them.  But they must be pretty much wrinkle free.

Help!

I have many queen size and full size Northern Nights Wrinkle Defense Sheetsets. Seems like they disappeared from the Q - and the few they show have mostly BAD reviews. Can't believe how expensive they've become.

Have you tried percale sheets?  They are 'blend' which is much better than 100% cotton or high tread counts - i.e., 400 - 500

300 is the middle count and much better

I tried Northern Nights b/c of no wrinkle but found them heavy - treated with chemicals and hot.  Gave them away.

King size - not sure if they sell in percale.....check Macys/Martha Stewart if still available

Percale is a type of weave, and sheets are available in 100% cotton as well as blends. They have that crisp sheet feel and are cooler, which I prefer. The 100% cotton percale set I have (from Target) doesn't wrinkle much, and I smooth them out once on the bed. I also have a set of 100% cotton sateen, and they tend to wrinkle somewhat more.

Generally, sheets will soften with use and washing, and wrinkles tend to lessen. The wrinkling is worse when new.

@qvc chick

I hate buying new sheets!   The last time I was forced into this punishment, I decided to buy different brands of king size sheets....Macy, Homegoods, Marshall's, etc.

I carefully took out one pillow case from each package and washed the lot of them.  Into the dryer for 5-10 minutes and then checked each of them as I laid them out on the table.  Picked the best wrinkle-free and ironed the others and put them back into their sets for return.

You cannot go by " feel " as after a wash or two the chemical treatment disappears with the softness.  Shrinkage is another issue.

I thought  I would buy more of sheets called "Dreamscape" but found they changed....no more wrinkle free and way up in price.  So, if you find something that works for you, I would go back quickly and get a few sets:  they will find a way to cheapen the product and increase the price !

Vermont Country Stores Percale sheets or CuddleDown pretty much anything they carry if you want true luxury. Not cheap, great when on sale, but worth every penny! I've purchased many sets of the Percale sheets at Vermont Country Store & my mom is now a convert too! In my personal opinion, this is something where you get what you pay for.

Re: NEED RECOMMENDATION FOR WRINKLE FREE SHEETS!

I love inexpensive sheets--the kind that are often sold at gas stations.

I don't like heavy sheets, and I also love how the cheaper ones basically don't get wrinkled.
