The handles were all breaking!!! Go to cut your meat and the knife or fork handle breaks and parts fly all over the kitchen. Called Corelle - they said they don't make this item and I have to call cambridge silversmiths. Called them and they said they don't make the handles - only the metal parts. Called Walmart - where I bought them and they were very helpful. Took my information and promised I'd get my money back as this item is defective.The next thing I know someone from Cambridge Silver calls me and says they will replace the item. I said I don't want another set of this defective item. I want either a refund or replaced with another item.That arguement goes back & forth about a month between me & them via e mail.Finally I go back to my contact person at Walmart and she says she will see what she can do.Eventually I got a letter from Cambridge saying to pick a different pattern from the ones they sent pictures of and they will send me replacement from that set. Yesterday I recieved 8 knives,8 forks and 8 spoons in the very pretty pattern I had chosen. And gee - it only took about 5 months!!!

@151949. It's a good thing you're retired and have endless time to spend on such an activity. These businesses underestimate the persistence of an angry retired housewife. Score on for you!
