@CelticCrafter - This is beautiful, and unique. I'm sure if you entered it in a contest it would win a ribbon.

I love to cross stitch. I've always belonged to groups where we all get together, and the people in the group have become dearest friends. I had to leave the group when I couldn't go in the mornings, but I keep hoping I will get back to it. They haven't met since the pandemic.

One of my closest friends just gave me a special cross stitch ornament for Christmas last weekend. She knew the design would mean a lot to both of us!  Smiley Happy

Such a fun whimsical piece of art! What do you plan to do with it?

You must have excellent eyesight!

@magicmoodz put it in the drawer with the rest for my loved ones to find when they have to clean out the house. Smiley LOL

All kidding aside, I'm going to have it professionally framed and will hang it next to my sewing machine.

@CelticCrafter --Your piece looks like it is petite point---on a cotton cancas--I used to do that when my fingers worked right--I have 3 small pictures I did and was wondering where you take them to have them sized and even cleaned? Do you size them yourself and would you take them to a dry cleaners to clean? Guess I can call to ask but like to hear your opinions.

@wagirl No, not canvas.  It was done on 14 count Aida with 1 strand of DMC floss for the sewing machine and 2 strands for the quilt part of it.

When I wash my pieces I do it in the sink with a few drops of Dawn, roll it in a towel and then lay it flat to dry before I iron it on the back side.  Depending on whether or not I want a mat, I will run a line of basting stitches showing them what size I want the actual piece to be.  I take mine to either Michaels to frame or to Hobby Lobby.  HL is less expensive and I can pick a frame off the shelf if I want.
