Did anyone have to sign-for the My PIllow that were the tsv the other day?

My tracking for them is all messed up.  They claim they tried to deliver them, but I wasn't here.  Now they say they are being held at an "access location" and that I have to pick them up.

I tried contacting QVC customer support, but they tell me I have to call UPS.

Has anyone had any issues like this before?

So did you call UPS?

I don't recall having to sign for my My Pillows in the past, but that's my experience.  If you have had any prior delivery issues (you reporting something wasn't delivered) they may have flagged your account as requiring a signature.

Re: My Pillow - sign for them?

A few months ago, I had to sign for a UPS package from QVC.  The UPS man told me it was a new rule from UPS not QVC.

It's done in areas that are having problems w/stolen packages.

Mind you, I live in a "video" secured complex.  If we are not home at the time of an UPS delivery, the packages are left outside our door.

Only the USPS has the master key to the "locked" package room.

I called UPS and they are going to re-deliver.  I got conflicting stories - the QVC CS rep told me the package didn't need to be signed for, but UPS said the package was signature required.

I have not had any issues with UPS and calling them before about packages not being delivered.  I have stuff left all the time, so I am not sure what the issue was, I'm thinking new driver and they may have tried the wrong house. We have had that happen before.  Added to the problem was I didn't have a note from UPS saying they tried to deliver and since I didn't call about redelivery they transfered the package to the local access location (aka the UPS store)

I can totally understand that, but this morning I got a package left at the door that I didn't  sign for so I am not sure that was our issue, unless of course some drivers are enforcing the rule, while others aren't - or it's open to intrepretation on what a dangerous area could be.

Re: My Pillow - sign for them?

I've only had to sign a few times and UPS told me it was becuase there was an increase in package theft in the area. It was also posted on our local township website. Once they caught the theft ring it went back to normal.

Re: My Pillow - sign for them?

I really think it probably is a new driver. I have had packages from Amazon drop off  and not signed for for over 16 yrs.Suddenly they have all these different companies, some Amazon ,some hired companies. All of a sudden one of these delivery guys insist on me signing and will ring my bell for quite awile...lol  .After he finds out how much longer it takes him to deliver,he will wise up and just leave the package like everyone else!!!

Re: My Pillow - sign for them?

@andigrif,  Every now and then, tracking will show a package out for delivery all day long, and I'll be home all day to accept it, but it doesn't come.

Then after 6pm or so, after the driver has had time to arrive back at the facility, the tracking will show one of several various exception messages.  They say things like signature required and person unavailable, problem with address, and a few more that are similarly worded.

They always end up arriving the following day or business day.  I say, in my case, it's the driver entering some random code to cover for not delivering my package that day, for whatever reason.

Your situation could be for similar reasons or it may be altogether different.  It's no fun having to go somewhere else to receive packages that are supposed to be delivered to your door.
