Re: My Parents Went Abroad and all They Brought me was...

I have a trunk similar to that my great grandmother brought over from Italy with all their possessions in it.We put it in DH's den and had a piece of glass made to sit on top and we use it as a coffee table. It was already all scratched up when we got it so we can't really hurt it.I have it full of blankets and other linens we don't use much and I keep cedar chips in it. It's huge - about 5' long by 3 ft wide and 2' tall.

Now I want a French press coffee.  😕

I don't like the arms, but I must say loose back pillows are my favorite style for a sofa.  I also like the color very much.  I think the wall color is putrid and the artwork is underwhelming as are the sconces.  Rug--ugh!

I like the energy in my rooms to flow around furnishings, so I personally would not want a big trunk in the middle of a room to block that flow.

Love it. I have an antique trunk that is heavy as can be but gorgous. I store blankets in it.
