I think it looks lovely by the way. Very nicely done. I always admire when people take the time to decorate in a tasteful way. I'm not allowed to do that at my house, my husband thinks it's a waste of time and money and it's tacky. So I live vicariously through others.

It looks very nice, Hooty. Thanks for sharing. I have a couple mums on the front porch, but no pumpkins. They've gotten rather expensive, and it bothers me to just discard them after 1-2 months of decoration. Seems like a waste. Not only that, but the squirrels sometimes gnaw on them; they love to get inside to the seeds.

Hooty, just giving you a cheer for your decorations on your front porch. Absolutely cheerful and fall looking and a very neat job. Looks like you took some time to think how you wanted it to look. Also like how you started your thread "my front porch" it shows ownership and something your proud of, and you should be proud of how it turned out. We have been doing decoration all around the inside and outside of our home for over 2 weeks now. We hang orange icicle lights from the over hang on our porch and put hay bales and pumpkins, of different sizes and lots of mums and some scarecrows in the hay bales. Later on my daughter will add her Halloween decorations to the display. Love to decorate for fall and Halloween now I am going to put my tree up in my bay window it is shaped like a Christmas tree but it is 7' tall and has black wires on it and it also has the orange icicle lights hanging from each branch and there are pumpkins attached to the lights. have a good time enjoying fall decorating.
