My Eureka 15" Wide Track World Vac Micron/HEPA Vacuum Cleaner Just Died!

It served me well for 20+ years, but while vacuuming, the on/off pedal switch (it's an upright vac) stopped working, I couldn't shut if off, so I had to unplug it. Checked with Eureka and the pedal switch is unavailable.

Seeking a new vacuum cleaner... not too heavy, easy to maneuver, no pets so dog/cat hair is not a problem, great for carpet.

Does anyone have a recommendation? TIA.
