I love it! (Except for the barstools - need something with a back to it!) The woodwork in this home is just awesome.

I think it is super!  I am guessing there is a normal living area about where the camera is.  Chairs, a sofa, coffee table etc.  It would be a wonerful area to grab a book and sit at the bar and look at it and have a drink.

 

Also a great area to entertain and not as crowded as a normal closed in bar.  Lots of space to walk around and mingle.

I would remove the bar and stools.

Another person here who would remove the bar & stools. I would replace them with either a small table & chairs or a small sofa and table depending on what the nearby space looks like. Love the built-ins!

I really like this interesting space, but agree with those who would either have selected different stools or who would have eliminated the bar altogether and used something else in this space.

I like the space but the stools look like baton ends (remember the twirling kind?)
