One of my big jobs this winter was to get paper work under control. I had nice neat accordion files.....just way too many of them.  I invested in a nice file cabinet and spent several days sorting and purging. Burned three garbage bags of outdated and unneeded paperwork.  I highly recommend a cabinet this size. Kind of forces you to pare down and serves as an end table.

 My paperwork fills 2, 4-drawer file cabinets!

1 drawer for tax returns

1 drawer for receipts & user manuals

1 drawer for contracts, legal documents.

1 drawer for computer supplies, paper, ink, etc

I drawer for insurance documents & booklets

and on & on

I use a file cabinet as well.  One drawer for monthly bills, one for general paperwork, one for tax returns, and one for retirement accounts.  It is my habit to purge occasionally (when I am in the mood!).

Walked into Staples a few months back.  The stand was calling my name!
