Mod furnishings & Traditional Architecture

[ Edited ]

I love the architecture of this room, but I don’t like the furnishings at all. Mixing & matching styles is fine; it just seems to me the furnishings and architecture are worlds apart. Not liking the color palette either.

Other opinions?

I like the architecture, but also love the furnishings.  It's a long, narrow room aand with the pale, soft, minimal furnishings looks bigger and airy:  a pleasant, relaxing roon.

Great space, dreadful decor. I don't mind juxtaposing some modern elements against vintage architecture, but more of a mix of traditional and modern is best to me. Moreover, this stuff is just not appealing and wouldn't be no matter what style architecture the room might be.

Love the architecture but like @wilma not the furnishings.  The same effect could be accomplished by furnishings that compliment the room's style.

I like the detail around the windows and the high ceilings. I think it needs totally different furniture to make it feel warm and inviting and different artwork.

@wilma Have to agree with you, but I never was really a fan of modern unless the piece is like an unusual piece of wood maybe with modernistic feet.

Modern has never appealed to me from the time I was small.

Re: Mod furnishings & Traditional Architecture

There isn't anything appealing about this room for me, I also do not care for modern furnishings.
