Mixing black and ss appliances

At the stage of kitchen remodel where I have to pick out my appliances. Last year we had to buy a new microwave and a dishwasher so I chose black knowing we were going to redo kitchen. Last week I posted something about black refrigerators and got some helpful advice but today I found the range I really want. It is a Samsung duo oven. I really like that it is only one door but can be used as one or two ovens. I looked on several different sites and it has great reviews.

The problem is it only comes in stainless steel but cooktop is black and not sure where else there is black on it. Would it look funny to have that range with rest of my appliances being black. The black microwave will be above it but the dishwasher is on a different wall as will the refrigerator.

Thanks

Sounds ""Way Cool"".............I'd go for it (only I wish they made candy apple red appliances!)

Re: Mixing black and ss appliances

I intend to mix.. We bought a new black dishwasher about 2 years ago and are now going to remodel the rest of the kitchen and I plan to get stainless. The stove & microwave will be both black & stanless so I think that will tie it in just fine. and IF I hate it, I'll sell the DW on craigslist and replace it, though I anticipate it will look fine.

Desertdi….I'm surprised they haven't made bigger appliances in colors yet. My small appliances are red and I love them.

Re: Mixing black and ss appliances

When we moved into this house, it had an electric ss stove and a ss microwave above it. Basically the only thing that was ss on the stove was the oven door. How can they call that stainless? The rest of the stove was black. We replaced it with a black gas stove, kept the stainless microwave (which also has a lot of black on it) and they look fine together. My other appliances are black and I have a stainless sink. Works for me.

Oh........I've been SO tempted to get a red microwave.........but my fridge is ancient, and I will probably have to buy all matching stuff so I can sell this place...........so my "red fantasy" is gonna have to wait a while..........

Re: Mixing black and ss appliances

Well appliances are crossed off my list…..excited and nervous to get this range. I'm sure there will be a couple burnt or raw dinners before I get the hang of it. We bought the black refrig and stainless range….I think it will look OK!!
