[Me And My Shadow]

Hi Everyone:

We have been Spring redecorating the open living area in our home and are just about finished.....loving our new look!.....We have a soft pearl gray sofa, two black chairs with a vibrant floral print...(cream, gray, sage green, honey gold, soft mauve, light mocha)....and a plain sage green chair.

Our finishing touches now are to have our Ottoman and two Sofa Table Benches re-upholstered......I am looking at two patterns.....a tone on tone background color similar to our sofa color....with dragonflies, butterflies, ladybugs and bees scattered throughout....not overdone.....very whimsical.....more understated, yet adds a subtle interest to the area.

The designer at the fabric store has picked out a more dramatic pattern....similar background color with deep green vines and cream, deep gold & black bud/floral design....what I would call somewhat oriental.....I just want to be careful not to pick out a pattern that will conflict with our chairs, as the Ottoman will be in front of our sofa.....The designer feels that this pattern will not conflict at all, as it is a totally different design and would add more interest to the sofa area....Let me add that our Ottoman is Wicker....a warm walnut shade.

So I have two choices that I am staring at here.

I would appreciate your opinions/suggestions and also would love to hear what mixture of patterns you have in your home.
