I just saw a floor done exactly like this on HGTV yesterday but they had the tile walking in the front door then it changed to the wood further in.
It was the same pattern too. I guess this is a new design trend...that I don't particularly care for.
I saw that on a Property Brothers show. It was in the entry of a small home. I liked it in that application but I don't like it in this kitchen on a larger scale.

I like it all but the floor. Yikes! I would make it all wood or square tiles and something to match the cabinets. No sink in the island either.

Like everything but that floor and the sharp angles of the island counter top...I'd have them more rounded...DW

I don't care for this kitchen look.
Appears a builder had construction materials left over and put it to use.

This is not my taste, but I think it could work if the floor was all wood. The sudden stop and start of the tile area is jarring, and it looks like they were in the middle of changing the floor, and stopped. I am not a fan of wall ovens either, so that never appeals to me.

It looks like the contractor was using up a bunch of close-outs and remnants. Worst room I've seen on here ever. This will be hard to beat.\
And another thing: There is no counter space next to the frig. Where to you put stuff you are loading into it or removing?

Where do I begin?
The tile is too cold (cool) against the warm honey toned hardwood. Maybe a different tile, if they just had to have this application.
They should've forgone the wall of ovens, thus needing a cooktop. They don't have much counterspace to begin with. Countertop on island is very anemic looking, maybe 15 inches wide?
Poor choice of upper corner cabinets for the sake of a windowed door, space could've used a large upper with a 2 tier lazy Susan. Not much upper cabinet space to begin with as cabinets above hood, fridge and even the wall of ovens aren't too easily accessible. Maybe that's why there's a stool to the left of the fridge?
Too bad they didn't opt to extend the kitchen a little more to that side, the stool wouldn't be necessary. That's about 15-18" more of cabinet or countertop space....
Don't like the color of the island at all. Should've matched it to the cabinets.
I don't like the jagged line of upper cabinets and that they are opened on the top. Gunk city.
I'm done.

wow--kind of a chopped up mess---colors are all wrong too

I like the concept but I don't care for the execution here. I agree with the flood comment. Done correctly, I think it could be very cool.

NOPE!
At first glance, it appeared as a very unfinished room. The tile portion of the floor makes no sense to me & at first, the island looked like primer to me.
