Michaels Ashland jar candles

I just wanted to let everyone know of Some great inexpensive candles I found today. The Ashland jar candles at Michaels are great! Right now they're 2 for $9. I got a gardenia scent and a marshmallow coconut scent. I burned the marshmallow coconut and it had good scent throw and didn't melt super fast like some cheap candles do. And they're made in the USA! I think they'll be a good substitute for the more expensive Yankee candles I love.

Re: Michaels Ashland jar candles

I was just thinking the other day, these Ashland from Michaels are some of the best candles around!

They have a lasting scent that really fills the room and the candle doesn't smoke or burn unevenly. Much better I think than Yankee or Bath and B.They are 3 wicks and some come in pretty glass containers.

They are never more than $9 or $10 and you can always get a coupon online. Even if you don't have a printer, you can copy the numbers under the bar code you see and the cashier will type that in.

These and some from Barnes and Noble are my favorites and best I've tried. The B&N ones that are really good are Illume and also some Paddywax. The illume really fill the room just like the Ashland.

I can never detect much difference or any scent with the Bath and B and the Yankee scents don't seem to last, and they have too much smoke for me.

I think some Woodwick are good.

There are so many candles out there and more expensive ones that I don't think are as good as theseSmiley Happy

Re: Michaels Ashland jar candles

I was in Michaels yesterday and was looking at those Ashland candles.   I've had them before and they are pretty good but those 17 oz. jars have only 1 wick.

I didn't buy any at the 2/$9 display and wandered in back to the Christmas clearance section (80% off).  There were the same Ashland jar candles (17 oz.,, 1 wick) in just one scent--Pumpkin Spice.  I bought 2 and they were $1.19 each!

I remember I bought some summer scents on clearance a few months ago (maybe in the autumn) and they were not that cheap but maybe around $3 each, so snoop around.  I bet those unsold candles at 2/$9 will be deeply discounted around March or April.
