Thanks for all the advice. There is so much to be learned by doing similar projects.

We have decided to put the master bathroom project on hold, and see if we are better prepared next year at this time. We have a home equity that we want to pay down, since the bathroom project is quite a bit higher then we felt reasonable.

On the positive side, the decorator called me today, and she felt really bad that we were not comfortable with the amount. She was really nice.
