Well, that was much appreciated, Lola, but I've gotta tell ya, as pick, pick, picked as that barstool was, that's amateur work! (Sorry, Kirbs!) You oughta see what one of my couches looks like under the lovely vintage drapes that're covering it!

Awe, Kirby is naughty, but so cute. Very nice job recovering the chairs. My handsome little guy scratched up my sofa and chair in the living room. It was so bad the stuffing was coming out. I replaced with another set two years ago. Before I replaced, I asked here on Community what suggestions anyone had to stop him from scratching. Someone suggested STICKY PAWS, it's double sided tape, and sold at the pet store. I got the new furniture and covered the corners of all sides with this tape. This stuff works like a charm! I don't know how it is different than regular double sided tape, if it is at all? But I didn't want to experiment with a new set, and was perfectly happy paying the price at the pet store. I removed the tape several months later. He has never tried to scratch. I also bought him a scratching board and pole, also suggested here at the time of my query. He loves those and uses them all of the time. Try some of that sticky paws on the edges of your barstools. I think you'll be as impressed as I was with the change in habit of Kirby.

Awww, your kitty's are sooooo cute. You did a beautiful job covering your barstools, although I am sorry that you had to do so. What can you do? They are both so precious.
