Hello everyone, Im looking for a light blue or some blue green color rug to go with this art work. Preferably 2' 3' and also a runner. Would love to hear your suggestions.

Re: Matching rug with artwork

@mintedrose    I really like your artwork.   It is similar to some I also have....

When Pier 1 was available in retail...I bought all my area rugs and runners from them.  I searched everywhere for quality wool rugs and finally found them there.  And...they had the perfect teal color I was looking for.   I know you can look and order some things on line.  My rugs have lasted for years and the quality is very nice.   Might be worth checking them out.

Re: Matching rug with artwork

I've always had great luck with the Royal Palace rugs. QVC had some on clearance. There is another rug brand that are more solid and muted colors on QVC. Do a general search and you might find something you like.

I was a Pier 1 fan for years and was sorry to see them close.

Good Luck.

You can go on a website like Wayfair and specifically search rugs by size, color and style (using the filter feature.)  But be prepared, you will literally look through thousands of rugs.

When I begin a search I generally start with the customer rating feature and eliminate anything less than four stars.  Unfortunately, this can eliminate some unrated items, but you have to start narrowing your search somewhere.

Re: Matching rug with artwork

There are several huge online sites selling just rugs that have every conceivable color, size and style like rugs.com, and even Wayfair and Overstock.  You can do searches by size, color and style.  You can spend hours looking at rugs.

I don't think anyone can suggest a specific rug without knowing more about your decorating style, colors and lighting.  There are just too many from which to choose.

Go to Google and have fun.

@mintedrose  Pretty art. SIfting through rugs on line is a real challenge. As with so many other things, there's almost too much to pick from and yet no real idea of what something might look like in person. If you opt to do an online search, another resource might be the Home Decorator's  Collection section of the Home Depot website. Given the smaller sizes you seek, you might also want to check out the local Home Goods or Home Sense.

Love the art.  I am a complete fool for pink and red.  Perhaps they could be incorporated into the rug?

Re: Matching rug with artwork

I bought a 9x12 from Rugs Direct online.  They're out of Virginia and I highly recommend them.

I normally wouldn't purchase such a large item online, but it was during 'lockdown' and the carpet/furnitures were closed at the time.  I couldn't wait 'cause my furbaby's getting older now and is having more difficulty getting around.  My kitchen floor is a ceramic tile and quite slippery, so it was just something I couldn't put off.

If you do decide to purchase from them call the customer service # and a salesman will pick up.  I did and he helped by giving special delivery instructions tto Fedex.

It's a pretty picture. I'd not like to see anything too bold with it. Maybe a rug with a trellis pattern in a pale color like this dusty teal would work well?
