Re: Martha Stewart and Bedford Estate

No, I don't like anything about this room! It is hideous, I like Green, but in small doses and this shade is not a shade I wouldpick.

I like green also, but definitely not a fan of this room. I'm surprised that it's Martha's design.  I'd have expected better.

I really don't like all that green. I know Martha is a great Gardner and perhaps she thought she was bringing the outside in. Unfortunately, that green does not remind me of a garden but rather my grandson's upset stomach when he was an infant.

Martha possesses a unique personality and I suppose this room expresses it.

@proudlyfromNJ    You are right about her other rooms but I was unable to copy to show you all. ONe room is done in blue color with dishes hanging on the wall.  I am more of a relaxed, comfortable  decor person.

@CANDLEQUEEN   It seems she likes a very formal, traditional look.  Not for me either.  Yes, there are so many beautiful shades of green and she picks pea soup

Re: Martha Stewart and Bedford Estate

I think it is a lovely little room for people to gather in, have a drink, or a brief meeting or just hang out in for a while.

It's not a bedroom, or a living room, just a charming little room.  Why not make one different and a conversation starter?  I think the novelty is great and a luxury if you have a spare room and money to do something different. And the courage!

The previous owners of our home had the laundry room painted in that color (well, it was just a tad darker which made it even worse).  Needless to say, it has been painted over.

@Mombo1   That thing on the wall appears to be a sculpture.  Kind of weird.

@Kachina624    It would scare the "heck" out of my little grandkids for sure.
