Re: Mail order bedspread sites?

@Icegoddess

I had the same problem when we redid the shore house: the box spring would show and destroy the effect I wanted.

Two options:

.  Cover the box spring with a silky / satiny dust ruffle which you might have to fold down the middle to get the right length.

.  Order an Extra Wide spread from Amazon...this ensures that the spread would be wide enough.  ( I did have to shorten the far side of one spread because the mattress was an " old fashioned height one " )

Re: Mail order bedspread sites?

I don't recall how I became aware of the site, but a few years ago I saw a bedspread comforter on a site called Touch of Class.  I couldn't stop thinking about it so I ordered it.  I had no problems and still love it.

Re: Mail order bedspread sites?

@jlkz, I'll have to look into an extra-wide, had not heard of it.  However, as I said, I did cover the box springs with a fitted sheet.  I don't really want a dust ruffle.  I prefer a cleaner look.  Besides, a dust ruffle will not go past the rails.  I used to have a dust ruffle and had to cut it off the sheet part and velcro it to the back side of the rails.

Here's a pic of what I've got going on now.  The comfortor desperately needs replacing.  Underneath that I have a sage quilt that I tuck in. .  it was sold as a bedspread, but it doesn't quite meet the rails and doesn't even go all the way to the crack between the mattress and box springs along the foot of the bed, but luckily that is covered by the footboard.

I learned about " ExtraWide " after hours of searching under XL and not finding anything long enough.  I didn't want to go custom-made expense so I googled a question and some kind soul gave me the answer !
