What do you think?

I think it’s way too much plaid. The chair would be enough for me. I might be able to handle the chair plus window treatments if the walls were painted a solid color.

I’m ok with plaid in home decor if it’s somewhat limited. We used to have a plaid sofa in our family room. Everything else in the room was a coordinating solid color.

Unrelated to the plaid, the desk is beautiful. I’m not a fan of animal parts in decorating so the antlers have to go. Just noticed the antlers have plaid at the base! On my!

Way way to much plaid fo me too.  The desk is fantastic, love it, but everything else would have to go.  But hey, to each their own.

@wilma   As you say, too much of a good thing.  Paint the walls and lose the wallpaper.

While I like plaid (mostly in clothing, though) this is just too much! Plaid in home decor takes me right back to the first sofa my DH & I bought as newlyweds in 1975.

I will say this blue plaid is much prettier than the green plaid sofa we bought--though we thought it was high style back then! Woman Very Happy

I would love one wall being plaid and the chair. I would have to have a soft solid color on the rest of the walls. The antlers would have to go for sure.

I might leave the drapes but all other plaid would have to go along with the antlers. I do like the desk, that would stay.

I have never seen plaid done this way before and finally I love plaid in a home!  Beautiful.  I would not have loved it in traditional red/green plaids, but the blue is so striking, especially with the wood tones.

Re: Mad for Plaid

[ Edited ]

If it's only the one wall, along with the drapes and chair, I'd go for it.  More than that would be overkill.

Agree about the antlers ... or any display of "hunting" trophies.

I like it.  Very classy and British, however, I like blue/green with red tartan plaid better.
