well, except for the olive green walls in the bedroom.

It is really a beautiful home with all the right touches; very welcoming.

A perfectly lovely classic home in the Hudson Valley.  I love it all.  And the Hudson Valley itself is such a beautiful place to visit.  With just a few small changes, I could move in and be very happy there.

@on the bay,  those walls do look green on my screen too!  But in actuality they were pale yellow.  They mention in the article that she painted all the interior walls in variations of pale yellow, (but with a faint undertone of green, you're right) some brighter, some darker.  She wanted a unified look.

I'm not really a yellow person (like very small doses).

@Desertdi--  Is that kitty not just the cutest?  I love its innocently sleepy, cuddly expression, even when it's naughtily up on the kitchen counter...

@Oznell...It looks nearly identical to my daughter's home and how she chose to decorate it. She always had an "eye" for beautiful decor and even when she was a small child, I used to ask her opinion on decorating. Needless to say, I love the photos you posted...

Your daughter's house must be beautiful, @Trinity11.  There's something about seeing this refined, unified style, all through a house, that is so pleasing!
