I would love to stop by, not to eat, but just to spend some time in your lovely home (I remember some of your pictures preciously posted).  Your table is so charming, and I love the old-fashioned romantic look of lace.  I have some lace in my home, as well.

Re: Lunch anyone?

[ Edited ]

Absolutely lovely...and it is so heartwarming to hear that you set a pretty table and make a nice meal for your family before they go off to work.

I do the same every night and my husband and family tell me almost everyone that they work with just grab something quick out of the frig or get take out and eat that for dinner.

Friday is take out night for us but I still set the table. It really does make a difference in meal time. Take out or home cooked...a pretty table setting makes your meal so much more pleasant and appealing.

Hope you enjoyed your meal and your family time.

@Mominohio, I am on my way; do you prefer a red or white wine?!?!  Beautiful setting!

You choose! It's all good! Hey, bring Valerie Bertinelli with you, since she has a pretty good stock of wine on the Q today!

I'll pack some up and be right down to Florida, cause I'm about done with this weather up here (going to snow again tonight!!!!!).

I could use some sun and warmth!

You know how people swap homes for a week? Let's do that! I want to experience your home as well! (Colonial isn't it?). I've been to most states, but only drove through a very small part of CT, so I'd like to actually spend some time there!

What a charming table.   I've never seen Temp-tations look better.  QVC should take styling tips from you.

May I bring something?

We had no dessert, so stop by with something sweet and we'll visit!!

Wouldn't it be great if we could really do that?

You don't have to ask me twice.   Lingering over tea/coffee and dessert.   We would have fun, I'm sure!

@Mominohio  Good, we can take it out to the dock and have some. It is warm and lovely here....my favorite time of the year. Soon, it will be hot....and I think I can understand how you feel.

Your dishes are really pretty....love the color.

I had to laugh! We have a big pond with a dock, and I thought of you and I out there tomorrow, sitting with our feet in the water, while the snow falls around around us! LOL

I think we'll stick to your dock....till July anyway!

@@Mominohio, That would be so much fun!  Although right now, with our remodeling stuff going on, you would not believe this place.  We don't know how much longer we will be here, but folks in this area don't want anything that isn't in tip-top shape.  KItchen is done, now we are onto the bathrooms.  Much repainting left to be done, and so much stuff to get rid of.  Bit by bit, we will get it all done.  I hope we can stay here a few more years, but at our ages (DH is 77, I am 73), we need to be prepared for anything.  When all is done, I would welcome you!
