Re: Luminara vs Candle Impressions

I have both Luminara and Mirage and a slew of the CI ones from several years ago.  I love Luminaras and I also like the Mirage once I get over waiting for the 'wick' to move.  So, I decided to use the Mirage in bedrooms and baths and Luminaras in the areas where we spend more time.  Hope you are satisfied with you decide to get.

Candle Impresions is wonderful quality with great battery life, and they are not scented as Luminara is, so my vote is for Candle Impressions.

Re: Luminara vs Candle Impressions

I have both and use them differently.  I have that 5 piece set.  The entire candle glows, so it does look fake.  I put them in ceramic jars where it doesn't matter.  I put the luminaras on the pedestals.

@Nataliesgramma and @mousiegirl

We have over a dozen Luminara candles and none are scented, so just check the options and descriptions before purchasing. If you are in the store like BB&B, you could always open the box and smell before purchasing too Smiley Happy

Susan Louise, the fact that the candles are scented is never mentioned in the item description, nor have I heard it mentioned in the presentations.  I won't buy these candles due to that.  If there is mention now, I am not aware of it.

I bought two of these H203156 last year, and there is still no mention of the awful odor on the item description page.

@mousiegirl That is odd...and I have both wax and plastic Luminara and none are scented. I would have assumed that it would be in the description of the product/candles. I never paid attention to that since it isn't an issue for me. For those like yourself, then one would have to see the candles in a store 1st and check...or order and take a chance. I have no understanding as to why Luminara doesn't mention it either way...

I don't understand it either, susan Louise.  I am content with Candle Impressions, and I really don't need more candles, as a few years ago I went nuts in Home Goods, so with those and what I buy here, Valerie's and Candle Impressions, I have a lifetime supply, lol.  Of course, that doesn't seem to stop me.

I posted a picture, in a new thread, of the owl shelf that my owl sits on, and when I saw the picture, I am thinking this cutie pie needs to go up higher on the wall, and a plainer corner shelf for the owl under the tv needs to replace it.

@mousiegirl Yes, that is an adorable owl! I saw it a few days ago! I think it's great that there are candle varieties/companies that are as diverse as our likes and dislikes so we can all be happy Smiley Happy

I am talking about the "owl shelf" that the owl sits on, and I only posted the picture late last night.  the thread is "owl corner shelf."

I like the two sets of Luminara that I bought last year with hardly any scent, chocolate and amber, I forget the official color.  I used them in my Fall decor, and will again this year.
