Luminara vs Candle Impressions

I was going to order Luminara candles for the Holidays, but I saw the presentation this morning for the Candle Impressions. They look just as nice and you get more candles for the price. Anyone have both?

Candle Impressions has alot of good reviews.......

Which Candle Impression were you looking at? I have about a bazillion, and maybe can review for you.

Re: Luminara vs Candle Impressions

I saw the set of 5 embossed for 29.00 and change......

I know that they don't have the flickering flame like Luminara, but I wondered if the 'glow' was realistic looking....

Re: Luminara vs Candle Impressions

If you were looking at the Candle Impression Mirage candles that have the flame effect just like Luminara's, then I'd highly recommend the Mirage. They are super nice for the price. I have them in the red, green is on the way, and the cream came yesterday. I have lots of Luminara, but in my opinion, these are just as nice, for so much less money.

If you were looking at the regular Candle Impressions candles ( the ones without a flame effect on top), I have tons of those as well. They have the best battery life in the business, and they haven NEVER failed me. A couple of my Luminara have died over time, but the CI still going, some after about a decade.

The Candle Impressions candles are, in my opinion, the best line of flameless candles available because of dependability, cost, batter life, and variety of styles and colors over the years.

I have both kinds, and others, but if I had to stick with one company, I'd choose CI every time.

OOOPS  We were posting at the same time.

I have several sets of similar CI candles in those groups of 5, mine just have some scroll work on them, and I think they were showing maybe the poinsettia ones today? I've had them for over a year. I think the are so pretty, so affordable, batteries last forever, and they are so versitile. They can be used on stands, with rings, in cages and small lanterns, inside cabinets, shelves and hutches because of the smaller size, just really anywhere. I like that I can group some together, and set one or two alone somewhere else. Lot of bang for the buck.

H203174 is the set I have (several sets actually), and they look good at holiday time or all year long. I got the cream or ivort

Re: Luminara vs Candle Impressions

I prefer Candle Impressions as I have many and they have served me well.  The Luminara are too overpriced for the quality.

Doesn't Hobby Lobby have THE  best lanterns? They have so many styles, and they are on sale for half price very often. That makes them so affordable, and I see designs there that I don't see anywhere else.

I've tried not to go lantern crazy (as I have plenty of other 'gone crazy' collections of home decor stuff). But I have to look at the lanterns every time I'm in the store.

Re: Luminara vs Candle Impressions

[ Edited ]

Well, it's only my opinion,..FWIW, I only had a few of the CI, other cheaper flameless candles (those in local stores like BB&B and a couple of tall ones that were in the VPH ceramic hurricanes). I never tried the cheaper brands of mirage by CI or Solare. There have been many who like them especially for the price too. The mirage is a 'flame effect' candle like Luminara, however, the flame does not move. To some folks, it doesn't make a difference...

I now use Luminaras in our 2 VPH ceramic hurricanes and think it looks so much better than the candle the hurricane came with!

Personally, as soon as I had bought a single Luminara, there was no going back to the other brands. They went directly to Goodwill and have no candles other than Luminara. I LOVE the 'moving' flame which to me is so realistic and DH loves them too. To me, yes, a bit on the expensive side, but so worth it...

The only other candles we have are Yankee Candles which of coarse I burn for the scents Smiley Happy

Re: Luminara vs Candle Impressions

I agree! Luminaries wins hands down over CI. IMHO there is no comparison.
