I bought the Hudson lantern on sale.  The votive flame lights up but flame doesn't move.  Don't want the hassle of shipping lantern back.  Ever get just one votive?

Those votives are very expensive to buy separately or in sets, they do have them in a set of 4, but nearly $60!

If they still have your color, ask for them to send out a new one while you are shipping yours back. There will be no charge for shipping (either the coming or the going back) on the defective one.

They may give you a partial credit for the damaged candle too, if you don't want to return it for some reason.

Thank you for your replies. While I have returned items from Alaska it's always pricey.  Maybe there will be sales on all Luminara tomorrow.

Re: Luminara flame doesn't move

I had this happen with a Luminara candle I purchased from PotteryBarn. It can happen to any Luminara candle.  Just wiggle the flame with your finger very gently....it must be off the rocker it sits on.  That is what my candle problem was. Once it was set right...it worked perfectly.

If the flame does not dance it is defective, and will cost you nothing to return.

I had that happen on a candle I got from Zulily.   I went back and carefully read the directions and there was something I had to do on the remote control to get the flame to flicker.   Once I did what I was supposed to do,  it was fine.

Did it ever work?  I would try new batteries.  A different brand than what's in them now.

@Mominohio  This happened to me on one of the two lanterns I bought on the TSV, but I decided to keep it, then bought a set of four.  As it turns out, I don't used the candles in the two lanterns, I use other lit items.  For Fall I used the mini mercury glass lit pumpkins,  and for Christmas will use the mercury glass lit pinecones.
