Luminara Flameless Candle With Fragrance Pods

[ Edited ]

I just received this order today (yes, on Sunday).  I bought the apple fragrance, and it smells wonderful.  I've been enjoying it all afternoon.

QVC doesn't sell the pods separately.  I don't understand that.  Does anyone else have this?  Where have you found the pods?  It comes with three.

I also noticed that Pottery Barn sells a flameless oil diffuser candle.  They do sell the oil separately.  I'll bet they smell good, too, but they're considerably more expensive than QVC.  PB sells Luminara.  I wonder if the oil diffuser candle is exclusive to PB or if QVC might start selling it.

Re: Luminara Flameless Candle With Fragrance Pods

@NickNack I do not have these, but am obsessed with home fragrance; especially seasonal offerings.😊

Will  you please update us with how long they last, strength of fragrance, etc...? I am very interested in purchasing a few, but these are deciding factor for me. TIA😁

Re: Luminara Flameless Candle With Fragrance Pods

@SandySparkles   Yes, I'll let you know.  I've had it burning for a couple of hours.  I'm sitting very close to it, and it does smell good--not overpowering.  I'll pay attention as I walk around the house to how much I can smell it.  You can only smell it when the candle is turned on.

If I can't find pods at a reasonable price I'll be very disappointed.  The reviews said they can be found on Ebay for $10+.  I think that sounds high, but I guess it depends on how long they last.  They also said you could only find one scent, and it's not something I think I would like--don't remember what it was.

@NickNack  Thank you! The inability to find replacements is also going to be a factor. It is likely additional scents are forthcoming, depending on sales.🤞

I will start searching for them also, and let you know if I strike gold.😁

Re: Luminara Flameless Candle With Fragrance Pods

I had one about 2 years ago when it first came out and really enjoyed it.

It suddenly started making a very loud noise and I had to get rid of it.

They use to sell the replacement fragrance pods on QVC..I still have them.

@DREAMON   Did the candle make noise even without the fragrance pod in it?  That's really strange.  I did find the pods on Ebay.  There are a lot of them for sale there.

@NickNack ..The fan was getting louder and louder. Hopefully they improved the fan by now. I could not get the noise to stop. The fan was the problem.

At that time there were others that were having the same problem..the reviews were not good.

I think they improved it and brought it back again.

They do sell the fragrance pods at Walmart here but I don't know it they are available at all Walmarts.

I really liked it while it lasted..I am sure you will have better luck than I did..EnjoyWoman Happy

@DREAMON   I hope they've gotten it fixed now.  Surely they have.  That's interesting about Walmart.  I'll have to look there.  I just checked online at Walmart, and they have them.  They aren't sold by Walmart though.  It's a third party seller.

@NickNack @DREAMON  .... I bought these about 2 years ago .... they smelled really good but, as @DREAMON  said they started to make sounds ....I think there is a fan inside the candle to make the fragrance release into the room ...  I wound up throwing them out after the noise started plus, the price on Ebay was about $10 for each pod & I thought that was too much to pay considering I only paid about $30 for the candle & 3 pods from QVC.

Re: Luminara Flameless Candle With Fragrance Pods

Have one sitting by me on my desk right now.  The fragrance is faint and pods are expensive, but the candle works fine without the pods.
