I almost fell over when I saw these. These Luminara candles go into your chandelier and run on electricity! No batteries! Really pricey, but WOW! The other drawback is you can't use them with dimmer switches. Bummer for me, but just as well because I'd have to get 3 sets, or 5 sets if using them on sconces as well. I'm safe!

You can buy light bulbs that flicker.  Never priced them (Lowe's) but I'm sure they're cheaper than $69.
